My journey into art
I’m Jason, also known in the art world as "SonTwo." I’ve been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. When I was 14, growing up in the Los Angeles area, I got pulled into the graffiti culture. Back then, I was a troubled kid—constantly getting into fights, finding trouble, and never really looking ahead to the future. To turn my life around, I made the choice to join the US Army straight after high school.
I left the military at 22 and spent years bouncing between different jobs, never feeling like I truly belonged anywhere. Having ADHD meant I always struggled to settle into a conventional mold. Now at 36, I’ve finally embraced who I am and committed to being a full-time artist.
My work is a direct reflection of that journey, crashing fine art acrylic techniques into the raw street styles I grew up on. Because my mind is always moving, I don't stick to just one medium. I create a wide variety of pieces to represent the different sides of myself—from heavy acrylic paintings on thick wood panels to hand-crafted polymer clay lighter cases.
My art is constantly changing and evolving. Welcome to my world, and thank you for being here. I hope you find something that speaks to you.
